This blog is dedicated to exploring the political and social landscape of American society from the perspective of a Black conservative. It was born out of the experience of the 2008 election in which I escaped the plantation that is the Democratic Party’s hold on African-American votes. My first and transitory home was among the PUMAs, those feisty and committed Democrats in Exile who put principles before party and refuse to support unconditionally now President Obama in his bid for the White House. Ironically those liberal leaning women and men are the parents of this blog and gave me the courage I needed to finally escape, leaving liberal ideology behind and embracing my true principles.
