Surpise surpise… Middle East mud impervious to “Hope & Change”

In a stunning admission of his own obtuseness, arrogance, and lack of judgment, the prez-nit noticed that his foreign policy approach in the middle east has accomplished exactly nothing.  Amazingly, despite the ocean calming rhetoric of King Obama the great, the problem of Jewish-Arab conflict that goes back, oh I don’t know.. to Bible days, hasn’t been solved.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says his administration overestimated its ability to persuade the Israelis and Palestinians to resume meaningful peace talks.

Obama says both parties have been unwilling to make the bold gestures needed to move the process forward. If the U.S. had anticipated that earlier, Obama says he might not have raised his expectations so high.

Well duh!!  Thank to you Captain Obvious for your keen observational insight.  It is hard to believe that even Barack Obama, possessor of manifestly abundant arrogance, would think that he could solve with one or two speeches, what has remained an intractable problem for decades and that’s only in the modern era.

I am reminded of the words of one Hillary Rodham Clinton in the campaign, referring to Obama’s then obviously ignorant arrogant naivete:

I’m still waiting for the light to come down.

  1. Chuck says:

For Israel, the light comes down quite regularly on the tails of Hamas launched Qassam rockets. And as Iran is busily preparing a 10 kiloton light, our president is off polishing his teleprompter…

    God help us all.

  2. mainenowandthen says:

As usual, the world ignores the intransigence of Hamas, Hezbollah and other radical groups when it comes to offers made by Israel to introduce potential solutions to the Middle East morass. The U.N.’s highly touted Goldstone Report does nothing but further fan the flames of anti-Semitism while under Hillary’s supervision the American State Department has been set back decades in its attitudes toward Israel.

Meanwhile, the madmen in Iran continue to court Armageddon while Obama tunes his fiddle.

  3. Yep, not surprised here either. This is what goes for leadership now a days?!?!?!
